About us
Founder and Managing Director, Dr John Buckle has over 25 years of international experience in all aspects of the healthcare industry from branded and generic pharmaceuticals to OTC medicines, and with companies ranging from large multinational groups to start-up organisations. During his career John has worked for many of the top international pharmaceutical and healthcare companies including Glaxo SmithKline, Sanofi, Wyeth and Smith & Nephew. He was also a main board director of the listed biotech company CeNeS Pharmaceuticals plc before staring Estradia Pharma Consulting in 2003. His experience encompasses early stage university research, biotechnology, medical devices, dental products, herbal products, drug delivery and healthcare advertising in additional to pharmaceutical products. John personally oversees all projects.
Strategy
John has personally created strategies at all levels, ranging from government-level to sector-level strategies and from company strategies to working at individual product level. For example he created the global generic strategy for a large pharmaceutical company and the business growth strategy for a healthcare advertising agency. He has also undertaken numerous strategic portfolio reviews. The strategies always involve detailed and effective implementation plans, based on over 25 years experience of the industry.
Mergers & Acquisitions & Business Development
John has been directly involved with mergers and acquisitions and business development throughout most of his career. He has personally negotiated the sale and purchase of a number of companies, licensed in and out many products and technologies and commissioned numerous international developments. He has also personally conducted numerous commercial appraisals of products and businesses including undertaking full due diligence.

Marketing, General Management & business process reengineering
John has set up or run a number of businesses including a speciality pharmaceutical business, a medical products business and an OTC business. He has also spent many years in marketing and run a number of sales and marketing teams. He has also been actively involved in reengineering in-house processes to improve efficiency. This has included a thorough overhaul of the pharmaceutical development processes for several companies, involving the creation of Project Steering Committees, Project Team structures and financial evaluation models to assist the prioritisation of product development. He has also reengineered customer services systems, processes and organisational reporting lines to aid operational efficiency.
Interim Management
John has been involved with a number of interim management assignments. The longer-term assignments include running an OTC business and international business development for a biotech company.
